Announcing the fall launch of the Canadian Anesthetic Incident Reporting System (CAIRS)

The CAIRS system is an anonymous program that can be incorporated into hospital systems to assist anesthesiologists to report, evaluate and receive information regarding anesthetic incidents. The results of the incident analyses may be fed back into the system, allowing the 'loop' to be closed as part of a quality improvement system.

The CAIRS prototype can be accessed and tested at, and we encourage all members to participate.

Once on the site, we ask that members complete the short survey on the site, by simply clicking on the survey button in the upper right corner. Your feedback will provide us with vital moving forward information.
