The Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society (CAS) offers two types of research grants through the Canadian Anesthesia Research Foundation.
Operating Grants provide funding to cover the direct costs related to a single research project. In 2012, we are pleased to offer the following seven operating grants of which two are in subspecialty fields, one an open award, three grants that are designated for new investigators and one grant for individuals committed to doing research during their residency training.

CAS Career Scientist Award in Anesthesia
This award is offered every other year; it was awarded in 2011 to cover partial salary support for 2011-2012 and will not be offered in 2012. The next opportunity to apply will be 2013 for funding over 2013-2014.
The Career Scientist Award provides partial salary support over two years to fund protected research time.
