The Department of Anesthesia is currently seeking an Associate Active Anesthesiologist, who would have access to available resources within the Department for emergency and elective surgery. The Anesthesiologist would be expected to provide an equal share of on-call coverage within the Department.

Interviews for this position will take place in March 2020, and the successful candidate would be available to begin working on June 1, 2020.

Responsibilities:
• Provide elective and emergent anesthetic care.
• Surgical services include: General, Orthopedic, OB/Gyne, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Vascular, Thoracic Dentistry and Endoscopy.
• Provide care to the Consultation Clinic and Acute Pain Management for Post-operative patients.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member within a group environment
• Proven attendance record.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

Education/Certification/Licenses
• Medical degree approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) required.
• Post Graduate training in Anesthesiology, FRCPC.
• Canadian Medical Protection Association in good standing
• Ontario Medical Association (OMA)
