Dr. Rohit Kumar is a practicing Anesthesiologist at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga.  He has served as the Past-President of the Medical/Professional Staff Association and is the current Chair of Ontario’s Anesthesiologists. He completed his Bachelor of Science and Medical Degrees at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia before completing his Anesthesia residency training at the University of Toronto.
 
Within his hospital he is a member of the acute pain service and past physician lead of the pre-operative assessment clinic where he successfully instituted the Pre-Operative Anesthesia Choosing Wisely Guidelines. For his work he was presented the Trillium Health Partners Better Together Physician Award for demonstrating leadership in advancing collaborative practice.
 
Within the Ontario Medical Association, he is a member of the Member Relations Advocacy and Communications committee.  He is an active advocate for timely access for quality patient care.
 
Dr. Kumar loves to read and play golf.  He also enjoys cooking and sampling diverse cuisines.
