CAS and the Perioperative Section are pleased to invite you to a webinar on October 24, 2023, to address the role of resuscitative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Intraoperative point of care ultrasound (POCUS) and TEE are consistently identified as topics of interest for CAS members through our education needs assessment, and the webinar was developed to address these needs. Throughout the session, the presenter will highlight the importance of resuscitative TEE as an innovative form of point of care ultrasound that is especially relevant in the perioperative period.

As a result of attending the webinar, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe the role of perioperative rescue TEE

  1. Review the literature on rescue TEE outside of the cardiac OR

  1. Discuss the role of TEE for cardiac arrest resuscitation.
