Dr. Vivian Ip is a Clinical Professor at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She currently works at the South Health Campus Hospital, and she is the Director of the Regional Anaesthesia Division, as well as the Director of the Fellowship Program in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine.
At CAS, she is the Secretary on the Board of Directors. She is also the immediate Past Chair of both the Environmental Sustainability Section, and the Regional Anaesthesia Section. At the American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA) and Pain Medicine, she is the Chair of the Newsletter Committee/Editor-in-chief of the newsletter, and the Advisor of the Green Anaesthesia Special Interest Group. Furthermore, she sits on the Sustainability Committee at the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists. Along with these roles, she is the guest handling editor of the sustainability portfolio, and the Editorial Board member at the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia (CJA). She also serves as an Editor for the Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (RAPM).

Dr. Joanna Fifen is a Staff Anesthesiologist at South Health Campus in Calgary and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. She serves as the SHC Site Research Lead and contributes to fellowship education in regional anesthesia and acute pain. Dr. Fifen chairs the CAS Environmental Sustainability Section Executive and sits on several CAS committees. She is an active researcher, dedicated educator, and award winning clinician with more than twenty peerreviewed publications and multiple book chapters.

Talk Title: "Limiting our Perioperative Pharmaceutical Waste"
Dr. Galaxy Li is a pediatric anesthesiologist and chief of pain medicine at Nemours Children’s Health Jacksonville in Florida. His clinical and research interests span from pediatric acute to chronic pain to environmental sustainability in medicine. As a graduate of the University of North Carolina, he acquired his bachelor’s degrees with honors distinction in chemistry and piano performance. Li earned his medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He continued his training with two fellowships – pediatric anesthesiology with Emory University at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and pain medicine with Harvard Medical School at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Li is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with subspecialty certifications in pediatric anesthesiology and pain medicine. He serves on faculty at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, on the board of directors for the Society of Pediatric Pain Medicine (SPPM), as president of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia Improvement Network (SPAIN), and as editor of SPPM Newsletter.
