2020 CAS Virtual Annual Meeting Wrap Up
The 2020 CAS Virtual Annual Meeting, featured as a free webinar for CAS members, took place on Saturday and Sunday, June 20-21, 2020.
Despite the difficulty of putting together a comprehensive and engaging scientific program in a limited virtual setting, we are very pleased with the outcome and the participation of so many CAS members. CAS is incredibly grateful to the long list of presenters and moderators who worked hard over the past year to develop the original scientific program. For those we were not able to include in the current program – thank you for your contribution and understanding.
The CAS Virtual Annual Meeting opened on Saturday morning with an opening keynote from Lieutenant-General The Honorable Roméo Dallaire, where he shared his hard-earned wisdom on the demands of managing through difficult situations, preparing for and coping with the emotional and mental challenges in the aftermath of a pandemic.
Other highlights included the John Wade Patient Safety Symposium, the Residents competition, sessions from regional anesthesia and obstetric anesthesia, the Richard Knill competition and a closing panel on COVID-19.
