The CAS Section on Innovative Technologies and Artificial Intelligence brings together anesthesiologists interested in understanding, evaluating, and responsibly advancing emerging technologies in perioperative care. The scope is deliberately broad, encompassing artificial intelligence, including machine learning and large language models, as well as digital health, wearable and sensor technologies, robotics, advanced monitoring, simulation, and virtual reality. These technologies are explored through their applications in anesthesia and perioperative medicine.
