Dr Cindy Wang Dr Cindy Wang is a community anesthesiologist at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, serving the Central East Ontario population. She was originally from Montreal, completed her medical school at McGill University, later completed her post graduate anesthesia training at University of Toronto. With her special interest in population health and reducing care gap due to social determinants of health, she then went on to complete a Masters of Public Health at Harvard University, certificate in Value Based Health Care Delivery with Professor Michael Porter at the Harvard Busienss School, and is in the process of completing her Masters in Business Administration at University of Toronto. She’s been a strong advocate for access to care close to home and health equity for all. She has previously served as a board member to the Scarborough Health Network Foundation and member of the campaign leadership committee. She was also the president to the Medical Staff Association at Scarborough Health Network and serviced as ex-officio board member for the hospital.
 
Dr Wang also works closely with the Ontario Medical Association, where she serves on the General Assembly Steering Committee and is currently the district 11 treasurer. Most recently, she was elected chair of the Ontario’s Anesthesiologist.
 
She’s a strong advocate for healthy community starting from childhood, she’s served as board member at Family Day Daycare and Glacier Raceclub in her community.

Dr Wang is a mother to a 7 year old ski racer/figure skater, and her most recent achievement is achieving her level 2 instructor level at the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance. She jokes about being a full time skiing mom, and part time anesthesiologist.
